There were so much incredible and beautiful places I’ve been visiting! Also, some really creepy and intense experiences. I’m pretty glad nothing really bad happens during all the visits! Time to be grateful for all that! Merry Christmas 😀

Recieved some proofs
May you allready know I’ve some exhibitions next year. So for the first exhibition starting in January in the world famous clinic „La Prairie“ I’ve to print some of my works from the serie „Beetle theatre“. So befor I’ll print them fullsize and press the photography between two acrylic glasses I’ve to check the colours, the sharpness, the brightness. For that I’ve got some proofs.
NEW WEBSITE!
I like to present you my new website! I had so much problems with my last one. Everytime I uploaded or write something, the whole site had some layout problems. The side was also pretty slow and not easy to use. Everything was to small and complicated. Not that great user experience! So for 2022 I thought I will do a new website! Also because I’ve some exhibitions next years. This was a reason too. So I took the time to build this new site! Was a hell of work. But I’m pretty happy im nearly finished. Some texts are only available in german, some in english or sometimes there is no text at all. I will update the content from time to time..
…And did you allready saw? There are some new contents… like the „Behind the scenes“ page. Have fun clicking trough the site!

SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 – VERNISSAGE GROUP EXHIBITION. MORE INFOS HERE
August 30, 2021 – I would like to invite you for my next group exhibition! The exhibition is located in Kirchlindach, Bern in the „Klinik Südhang“ which I’ve worked for about 9,5 years. You will find all the details of the exhibition on the following link -> „Südsicht 21„. I will show a selection of photographs from the serie „Urban Exploration“. The vernissage is at the 10. September and starts at 6.30 pm. Would be great to see you there 😀
March 18, 2021 – Happy new year! My exhibition which was plant a year ago will now be at the beginning of September 2021. The time will show if it’s possible or not. Save the date, 10. September 2021. More informations will follow.
I’m getting more into videography & have new ideas 4 further projects . So I decided to use some old videos I’ve taken and use them for a short compilation. I’ve uploaded the result a while ago on my youtubechannel. here is the result:

December 22, 2020 – A few days ago I’ve uploaded some content. In the near future I’ll show some collaborations I hade in the past. You will find the category on the right side or here. The second category I’ve created is called „objects„. In 2018 I’ve startet to do some objects with some electronic trash I get or I’ve found on the street. I’ve another unfinished project. This I’ll upload next year. You will find these handcrafted objects here. You see I’m highly motivated to finish some old projects. Need capacity for new ideas!
December 12, 2020 – I’m finishing some old projects. Wanna clear old ideas, realise them or terminate them. Need some space for new ideas and visions! So I uploaded a long term project „Dreamscapes„. You can find these photographs here. Further I finished editing a conceptual photograph from August 2020. Here ist the result. Also finished the second part of my urban/rural exploration tour this summer. the video can be watched below. All the sounds are created or recorded by myself. And of course all the videos too.
November 01, 2020 – Finished my first urban or rural exploration video for 2020! Combined lost places with abandoned scotish landscapes. Scotland felt like I was traveling trough my inner self. And here it is! I’m already working on the second part.
October 03, 2020 – The time is running! I had a wonderful journey trought europe this summer. Taken a few photographs and mostly just relaxing the silence. Now I found the time to edit and upload a few of this photographs. Later that year I hope i’ll find some time to upload more. Next year I’ll have a exhibition from June till August 2021. There I’ll show a selection of my works „urban exploration“. Some of these works I’ll show I have never uploaded. If you wanna get reminded about the date, please send my an e-mail on info@andre-schaeffer.ch. And here you will find some photographs form the time July and August 2020. Hope you enjoy it.
May 26, 2020 – Happy new year! Haha. Sorry, I’m pretty late. Didn’t upload any content. Had too much work to do. Also was a bit lazy. The exhibition which was planed end of june 2020 is cancelled (coronavirus). The exhibition is displaced for next year. Also end of june. From July 2020 I’ve some holidays. I hope I’ll find some time for my art and ease of mind.

December 22, 2019 – just uploaded the second part of my urban exploration video. Hope you will enjoy it. The video and sound was recorded and created by myself.
October 07, 2019 – We (Stephan Mathys + André Schäffer) will be part of the book festival „Zürich liest„. We can show our polaroid/text collaboration in the „Laborraum“ galerie in Zurich. It’s an election with music and a quiz for the brave of you 😉 Would be nice to see you. About our collaboration: I had a collaboration with an autor (Stephan Mathys). I took 30 pictures with an old polaroidcamera (SX-70) and he have writen some text. The texts are alike non-fictional but one fact is fictional. It’s not that easy to find the false fact

July 25, 2019 – I’ve uploaded 18 new polaroidphotographs from my stay in Scottland this june! What a beautifull szenery! You can find the photographs here. And here I’ve uploaded a new composing. The last one I’ve done was a year ago. I think there will follow more in the next months. Further I like to inform you about a next exhibition in August (2019.20.08). I did a collaboration with a writer. I’ll tell you more in the next days 😉

April 26, 2019 – There’s an groupe exhibition from 30. May till 2. June 2019 in Berne, Munsingen. I’ll show a selection of the photoserie „Beetletheatre“. The vernissage will be at the 29. April 26, 2019 – Some more news! I’ve uploaded 3 new photographs. I was urbexing yesterday. Was a really strange experience to walk in deep waters inside a building. May I’ll upload some behind the scene footage later. Here you’ll find the photographs.

August 6, 2018 – In 2017 I started to film an publish some video impressions of abandonned places. A few days ago I uploaded the second part of this kind on youtube.
The videos are taken in 2017 & 2018 and mostly in Northern Italy.
The sound is sometimes recorded on location, generated with a musicprogramm or recorded somewhere else and mostly modiefied. It’s quit a new medium for me. I tried to enhance the atmosphere of this beautiful and unreal locations.
My computer I’ve been using is pretty old. So it was really anyoing to edit and gives me huge restrictions.

November 3, 2017 – I’ve been busy these days. Try to go as often as I can in my studio. I’ll show some new artwork next year. Today I’ve uploaded two new portraits which can be seen here and here a photography from my urbex trip 3 weeks ago.
October 08, 2017 – Last Week I’ve been urbexing in Norther Italy again. I’ve found some small abandoned building. Inside there were many spiderwebs and dead butterflies. Uploaded some photographs here.
